Westinghouse Lighting’s Dave Gatto receives 2013 ALA Pillar of the Industry Award
Westinghouse Lighting’s Dave Gatto was honored with a 2013 Pillar of the Industry Award during the annual American Lighting Association (ALA) Conference near Austin, TX on September 24.
The Pillar of the Industry awards recognize ALA members (manufacturers, showrooms and sales representatives) for their important service to advance the lighting industry and the association during the previous 18 months. The recipients are nominated by ALA members and staff, and are selected by the ALA Awards Committee.
Dave was nominated and selected for this esteemed award because of his role in developing a comprehensive industry response to proposed Department of Energy (DOE) regulations affecting the ceiling fan industry. He provided expert opinion on the rebuttal to the DOE’s rulemaking plans and has dedicated much time and energy to this extensive, ongoing project.
A Westinghouse employee since 1990, Dave currently serves as Manager of Product Compliance and Quality Control (U.S.).
Additional recipients of the 2013 ALA Pillars of the Industry Award were David R. Turner of Hunter Fans, David Shiller of Lighting Solution Development and and Wendy Lofing-Rossotti of Lofings Lighting.
